This Practical Farmers of Iowa field day visits Luke Jones and family in Astoria, Illinois. Luke currently is a consultant with Understanding Ag and values implementing new practices on his farm to be better prepare in his conversations with clients. At his field day, he will show and discuss no-till corn fields following roller-crimped cover crops. Guests will learn about Luke’s trial exploring grazing sheep on cover crops between strips of non-GMO corn. Luke will also discuss the principles of soil health and explain how these practices let him use fewer purchased inputs.
