Lake Agassiz Chapter Farm Tours

July 9, 2016, 1-4 p.m. | Bagley, MN

Admission is free, but please RSVP here.

1 p.m. tour at Split Oak Farm, 32837 201st Ave, Bagley;
2:30 p.m. tour at  Amazing Grace Homestead, just 3.2 miles up the road;
3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Ending with networking and light refreshments.

Split Oak Farm: Jeff and Angie Ness are new farmers that have created a biodiversity small-scale farm. During the tour they will go over crop and animal rotation with a focus on using the animals to “work the ground”, a sustainable soil health method and grazing practices. Also tour the gardens and visit with the dairy goats, pigs, poultry and rabbits.

Amazing Grace Homestead: Dianne Moen had a desire for a natural, sustainable, calvesspiritual, and self-sufficient lifestyle. She views “mini-farming” both as a means of producing food and to be a steward to the land. Come view the Buff Chanticleer chickens, Royal Palm turkeys and poults, Scottish Highlander cow and calve pairs, Katahdin sheep, and a good dog. Walk around or just sit on the porch and visit about what is possible with a dream.

Admission is free and the day will end with networking and light refreshments.
